T-shirt Design

As an afterschool program in a rural Indian village, Udhayam Educational and Cultural Center wanted a t-shirt to promote their community-based approach to youth development. This design incorporates the traditional South Indian kolam, or mandala, design with imagery of schoolchildren from the area, including the bindi and looped braids of the Tamil girls.
